Nowadays, virtually all banks in the country accept MPESA payments and transfers, including Absa, formerly Barclays Bank. With the ABSA Paybill number, you can send money from your MPESA wallet to any Absa Bank account, including yours, when making deposits.
The current Paybill number for normal MPESA to Absa deposits is 303030. Absa, however, also accepts Timiza loan payments via Paybill number 300067 and prepaid account loading via Paybill number 303069.
So, there are ideally three Paybill numbers you can use to transfer money from MPESA to Absa, depending on the reason for doing it, and I’ll explain them more. I’ll share how you can use these Paybill numbers to transfer money from MPESA to Paybill.

What Is Absa Paybill Number?
Absa allows MPESA deposits through three Paybill options, depending on the nature of the transaction. Those options are as follows:
Option 1 – Paybill Number 303030
The Paybill Number 303030 allows MPESA to Absa deposits, especially when transferring from one’s MPESA wallet to one’s Absa bank account and when making payments to an Absa account using MPESA.
Option 2 – Paybill Number 300067
The Paybill Number 3000067 allows borrowers to repay Absa or Timiza mobile loans using mobile phones. So, this Paybill number is specifically for those who obtain emergency mobile loans from Absa or Timiza.
Option 3 – Paybill Number 303069
The Paybill Number 303069 allows Absa customers to load their prepaid accounts via MPESA. So, one must have money in their MPESA wallet and an Absa prepaid card to use this Paybill number.
How to Deposit Money from MPESA to Absa Account
For you to deposit money from MPESA to an Absa account, you’ll need to use the Paybill number 303030, and here’s how to go about it:
- Go to the MPESA menu on your phone or log into your MPESA app
- Choose ‘Lipa Na MPESA’ and then ‘Paybill.’
- Enter the Absa Bank Paybill Number 303030
- Enter the recipient’s Absa’s account number
- Input the amount to send to the Absa account
- Input MPESA Pin
- Confirm the transaction and tap ‘Send’
- Wait for confirmation SMSs from Absa and MPESA
How to Pay Absa Loan Via MPESA Paybill Number
When it comes to paying for Absa or Timiza mobile loans, you should use the Paybill number 300067, and here’s how to go about it:
- Go to the MPESA menu or launch the MPESA app
- Go to ‘Lipa Na MPESA’ and then then ‘Paybill.’
- Enter the Paybill Number 300067
- Enter your mobile number under ‘Account Number.’
- Input the amount to pay and MPESA Pin
- Confirm the transaction and tap ‘Send’
- Wait for confirmation SMSs from Timiza and MPESA
Overall, Timiza not only allows you access to mobile loans, but you can also use the service to pay utility bills, send money to mobile wallets (including MPESA), deposit to Absa ban, buy airtime, save up and withdraw cash at ATM (cashless).
How to Pay Absa Credit Card Via MPESA Paybill
To load money from your MPESA wallet into your Absa prepaid card, you should use the Paybill number 303069. Here’s how to go about it:
- Go to the MPESA menu on your phone or log into your MPESA app
- Choose ‘Lipa Na MPESA’ and then ‘Paybill.’
- Enter the Paybill Number 303069
- Enter your prepaid card’s 16-digit number under ‘Account Number.’
- Input the amount to load into your prepaid account
- Input your MPESA Pin
- Confirm the transaction and tap ‘Send’

The maximum you can transact via MPESA is Ksh 150,000 per daily transaction and Ksh 300,000 for all daily transactions.
How to Withdraw from Absa to MPESA
Absa has a CashSend service, popularly known as Hello Money, which allows you to withdraw cash from your Absa account into your MPESA wallet using the USSD Code *224#.
Hello Money works on any phone and mobile network, and you don’t require mobile data. Even better, it allows you to access Pesa Link, which you can use to transfer money to other banks.
Here’s how to sign up for Hello Money before you can start using the cash transfer service:
- Dial *224# on your mobile phone
- Choose language (option 1)
- Select self-registration (option 1)
- Enter your Absa account number
- Accept the terms and conditions
- Enter your date of birth
- Enter your Absa card number and its expiry date
- Wait for a temporary banking PIN, which you can change later
Once you register for Absa’s Hello Money, you can use the USSD Code *224# to withdraw cash from your Absa account into your MPESA wallet. Here’s how to go about it:
- Dial USSD Code *224# on your mobile
- Enter your 4-digit PIN
- Choose CashSend
- Enter the recipient’s MPESA number
- Enter the amount to withdraw (maximum Ksh 40,000 in multiples of Ksh 1,000)
- Choose the Absa account to debit
- Enter your PIN
- Confirm the transaction
