MPESA has partnered with many local banks to make it easy to do transfers between them. While pay bill charges apply to MPESA to bank transfers, the current bank to MPESA charges differ from bank to bank.
Most local banks charge nothing to transfer up to Ksh 100 to your MPESA wallet. You, however, have to pay between Ksh 10 and Ksh 78 to send Ksh 101 – Ksh 150,000 from the bank to MPESA.
So, it depends primarily on the amount you want to transfer from your bank account and the bank itself. Some banks are slightly cheaper, and I’ll share their charges later to enable you to compare.

1. KCB Bank to MPESA Charges
KCB Bank has partnered with MPESA in many projects, and now, it’s possible to receive money from your KCB bank or another into your MPESA wallet. However, you must use KCB Mobile Banking or the new Internet Banking service.

Safaricom has partnered with local and international banks to allow you to send money to your MPESA wallet conveniently.
An option like World Remit allows you to transfer up to $5,000 at once. You must visit their website, head to the Kenya homepage, sign up for an account, and follow the prompts.
On the other hand, PayPal allows you to receive the money in your PayPal account first and then transfer it to your MPESA wallet within 2 hours or less. You can also do MPESA to PayPal transfers, making it a convenient avenue.
