Here is my Arvocap Thamani Equity Fund Performance Update as at 1st September 2026.
On 2nd April 2026, I invested Ksh 100,000 in the Arvocap Thamani Equity Fund.
At around the same period, I also started my Ksh 100,000 Stock Market Challenge, whose performance I have consistently shared with you.
The goal?
To compare what happens when I pick and manage stocks myself versus when I entrust the job to a professional fund manager.
Five months later, here is where the Thamani investment stands:
- Amount Invested: Ksh 100,000
- Current Value: Ksh 128,665.73
- Gain: Ksh 28,665.73
- Growth: 28.67%
And the journey is getting even more interesting.
So, Why Did I Take On This Challenge?
Direct stock investing offers high risk and potentially high returns.
But it requires knowledge, patience, research and time.
You need to know which stocks to buy, when to buy, when to hold and, sometimes, when to exit.
Not everyone has the time or expertise to do this consistently.
And that is where an Equity Fund becomes interesting.
The concept is simple:
- You still gain exposure to the stock market.
- But instead of selecting and managing individual stocks yourself, you entrust your money to a professional fund manager who does the heavy lifting for you.
I chose Arvocap Asset Managers and invested in the Thamani Equity Fund.
So far?
Ksh 100,000 → Ksh 128,665.73.
That is impressive growth over five months.
