Another month. Another interesting performance update.
And two numbers immediately stand out:
49.09% — Sharia Global Equity Special Fund
30.68% — Thamani Equity Fund
That is the Year-to-Date performance as at 31st July 2026.
But instead of looking at one exciting number in isolation, I want us to look at the bigger picture.
Here is how Arvocap’s 8 NAV funds have moved since my 31st May 2026 update:
- Sharia Global Equity Special Fund: 43.19% → 49.09%
- Thamani Equity Fund: 10.86% → 30.68%
- Almasi Fixed Income Fund: 6.87% → 11.27%
- Mabruk Sharia Special Fund: -0.14% → 5.77%
- Africa Equity Special Fund: 0.71% → 4.29%
- Eurofix Fixed Income Special Fund: 0.29% → 1.26%
- Multi-Asset Strategy Special Fund: 26.18% → 24.72%
- Global Equity Special Fund: 14.40% → 10.84%
That movement teaches an important investing lesson:

Investment Returns Do Not Move In A Straight Line.
Some funds will rise.
Others will temporarily pull back.
That is volatility, and it comes with investing, especially in growth-oriented assets.
A decline in performance does not automatically mean you should panic and exit.
Instead, ask:
- Has my investment objective changed?
- Has the fund’s strategy changed?
- Has my risk tolerance changed?
Be patient.
Choose a fund that fits your financial objectives, risk appetite and stay the course.
For my own Arvocap Asset Managers portfolio, I currently hold:
- Arvocap Money Market Fund
- Almasi Fixed Income Fund
- Thamani Equity Fund
And I will continue tracking their performance and sharing the journey with you.
Remember:
Past performance is not a guarantee of future returns.
The value of investments can rise or fall.
