I was having a conversation with my co-founders, Wilson Wariari and Preeyanka Shah, reflecting on the Arvocap Asset Managers journey.
We found ourselves looking back at where we started and honestly, not once in those early days did we imagine we would be standing here two Years later.
The privilege of stewarding KES 15 billion in assets under management.
The growth. The market’s reception. The trust.
Sometimes I sit quietly in my office and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. Not just because of how far we’ve come, but because of what it has taken to get here.
I look at Wilson Wariari and Preeyanka Shah and wonder if they carry the same intensity I do. The same joy. The same pride. The same weight of responsibility.
I know they do.
I’ve had the privilege of watching the sacrifices they’ve made, the difficult decisions they’ve carried and the unwavering belief they’ve had in what we are building. For that, I have immense respect for both of them.
Every now and then I think about writing a book on entrepreneurship.
If I ever do, I think I’ll call it “Building the BlackRock of Africa: An Arvocap Story”
Still Writing the Chapters
For now, though, we’re still writing the chapters.
And I have a feeling the best ones are still ahead of us.
